The Petition of the City of Port Coquitian HUMSLY SHOWETH: That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam kas by By-law No. 1743 cited as-the "Ryan/Marshall Road Clesure By-lav, 1980, No. 1743" stopped up and closed to traffic certain portions of Road shown dedicated in Diserict Lot 255 and District Lot 288, Group One, New Westainster District therein described; 2. That the said By-law No. 1743 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam vas reconsidered, finally passed and adopted by the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Pert Coquitlam on the Seventeenth day of ‘ March, 1980 and a duly certified copy is attached hereto; 3. That the registered owners of all the adjoining and contiguous lands . have been requested to consent to the closure of the aid portions of Road shown dedicated in District Lot 255 and District Lot 288, Group One, New Westminster ' District described in the said By-law No. 1743 and The Corporation of the City of ° Port Coquitlam has agreed to accept title to the land comprising the sane; 4, That the portions of Road described in the said By-law No. 1743 have never been opencd to traffic nor has public money been expended thereon and it is desirable : to close the said portion of roads to provide a buffer strip between adjoining residaatial aad industrial uses and-it is intended that the said portions of Road will be zoned and dedicated for public park use only thus insuring continuance of the area as a buffer strip. 5. That by resolution dated the seventeenth day of March, 1980 the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam authorized the presentation of a Petition to the Minister of Municipal Affaire praying for the abandonment of the said portions of Read described in By-law fo. 1753 so stopped up and closed to traffic: TWEREFORE your Petitioner huzbly prays for the abzndonzent of the said Portions of Read show dedicated in District Lot 255 and District Lot 288, Croup One, New Westminster District described in By-lav No. 1743 of The Corporation of tha City of Port Cuguitlan and the vesting of title to the land conprising sane In The Corporation of the City of Pore Coquitlam.
