SUBJECT: Raising of Cedar Drive Dyke

RECOMMENDATION:

That the Mayor and Clerk be. authorized to sign the
agreement for remedial work to the dyke with the full cost due:
to be paid by the Province of 8.C.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The work required to be done to the Cedar Dyke
results from a settlement of a foot and a half at the north end
ef Cedar Drive which reduces the protection provided by the
dyke. The attached letter from the Director of the Water
Management Branch outlines conditions which are necessary to
the agreement in order to satisfy the Federal Government which
is providing the funds. The terms and conditions are
acceptable to us and we have satisfied the Water Management
Branch in those areas requiring their approval.

The approval. of this agreement will allow us to be
reimbursed for the work which is being done.
