ity stating in part "that the Government of British Columbia be requested to
introduce such legislation and take such other measures as may be fair and
equitable to both employers and employees to avoid the unfortunate consequen~
ces of a strike of employees providing essential emergency services. to the
public" and soliciting the Council's support thereof,
Alderman Meyer stated his view that the resolution is one-sided as no

mention is made of lock-out by the employer.
