BACKGROUND: On April 26, 1993, Mr. Gary Fabick, applicant for Rezoning Application 34/92 appeared as a delegation to Council. Mr. Fabick was requesting that his rezoning application be approved at this time. Council passed a resolution requesting that Mr. Fabick meet with the Planning and Development Committee at the next meeting, anticipated to be on Tuesday, May 4, 1993 and that a report with the background on this application and a recommendation be forwarded back to Council from the Planning Committee. Chronology of Events: March/April 1992: Mr. Gary Fabick enquired at the Planning Department, and then contacted some members of Council, about the possibility to construct a duplex on his property at 1943 Manning Avenue. Mr. Fabick was informed that the property was closer than permitted to another duplex on the same street, therefore Council could not approve a rezoning for duplex purposes. Mr. Fabick has indicated that he received advice from some members of Council to apply instead for the subdivision of his property, a 66 foot wide lot, into two 33 foot lots. con't page 2 i (Tee | PAGE 2316F
