Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution Alderman Gates suggested that it be referred to Committee. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Vater: That the sale of Municipal property in the 1300 block Chelsea Avenue be discussed later this evening in Committee. Carried. From the City Administrator, March 31st, 1982 regarding the Coquitlam River Foot Bridge. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized on behalf of the Municipality to execute the agreement between Her Majesty the Queen and the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam subject to amending Section 2 (d) by deleting the words "to the Minister" and substituting therefore "to the City" and by adding to Section 2 (d) Subsection ii saying "subject to the statutory right of the City to regulate traffic on any public highway". Carried. At 7:45 p.m. the meeting recessed for five minutes. At 7:50 p.m. the meeting reconvened. Alderman Muldoon requested that Council revert to Item No. 1 on the Agenda regarding the aerial application of funginex to blueberry crops to allow further speakers and upon the Mayor ruling that this could not be done challenged the Chair. Mayor Traboulay then put the question: Shall the Chair be sustained? Affirmed. Alderman Muldoon voted against the question. Aldermen Gates, Laking, Vater and Wright voted in favour of the question. From the City Engineer, April lst, 1982 regarding parking restrictions on Brown Street. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That "No Parking at Any Time" signs be installed on the west side of Brown Street from McLean Avenue to Warwick Avenue. Carried.
