aren, June 19, 1989/135 A special meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hail, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, June i9, 1989, at 5:00 pom. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, W.W. Stewart, G.R. Laking and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk/Deputy Administrator R.A. Freeman, City Ergineer 1T.M. Chong, Parks and Recreation Director K.J. Taylor and Director of Community Planning W. A. Brown. REPORTS: From the Parks and Recreation Director, June 7th, 1989 re: Lions Park ~ Dyke Alignment. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: a) That the proposed alignment, along the lane through Lions Parks be adopted. b) That this alignment be part of the main agreement for the dyking project in Port Coquitlam. Carried. From the City Engineer, June 12th, 1989, re: Coquitlam River Dyking Project. Moved by Alderman Farnworth: Seconded by Alderman Stewart: 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the Coquitlam River Dyking Agreement as presented to this Council meeting. 2. The the necessary funds required for the cost-sharing of the extra costs of the dykes in the Reeve Street Park be taken frum the Land Sale Reserve. 3. That Staff be authorized to formally negotiate with the various property owners to acquire the necessary rights-cf-way for the dyke. Carried.
