SUBJECT: BEQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL HANDICAPPED PARKING
CLYY PARKING LOT WEST OF TEE LEGION BUXLDING
(Public Works Committe Meeting of February 5, 1991)

Reconmendation:

1. That the request from the Royal Canadian Legion for two new
handicapped parking spaces and the reconstruction of two existing
parking spaces in the City Parking Lot, west of the Legion building
be approved.

That $629.15 be allocated from the 1991 Public Works Capital Budget

for this purpose.

The Public Works Committee considered the attached report from the
Project/Traffic Technician regarding a request from the Royal Canadian Legion
for improved handicapped parking facilities in the City parking lot west of
the Legion building. .

The Committee noted that there are two existing handicapped parking stalls
which require widening and signage. To meet today's standards for hanlicapped
parking space width and signage, it would be necessary to use six existing
parking spaces (including the two existing handicapped parking spaces) to
create four handicapped parking stalls as shown on the attached plan.
