Dejah Léger

Dejah Léger brings traditional French-
Canadian songs and stories to life using a

unique folk art mechanism that scrolls hand- :
cut images across a paper screen. Take a trip :
back in time to a winter living room, where :

modern-day technology is replaced by the

magic of traditional art. Dejah is a multi-

instrumentalist, as is Louis Léger, her father-
in-law, who will be accompanying her.

René Cusson

A world renowned Highland Scottish piper
and composer of Celtic music, René has
performed with a variety of well known
musicians including fiddler, Wendy Maclsaac
and Bedlach, as well as the Cape Breton
supergroup The Barra MacNeils. René will
introduce you to the world of bagpipes by
way of the Scottish big and small pipes.
He will take the participants through a bit
of history of pipes and what is involved
in learning the instrument. René will be
accompanying the Glengarry Dancers.

compositeur de musique celtique de
renommée mondiale s’est produit avec
une brochette de musiciens célébres dont
la violoniste Wendy Maclsaac et le groupe
Bedlach, de méme que |’incontournable
formation du cap Breton The Barra MacNeils.
René vous fera entrer dans |’univers des
cornemuses écossaises, grandes et petites.
Aprés un survol de I’histoire des cornemuses,
il parlera des étapes a suivre pour apprendre
a en jouer. Il accompagnera les danseurs de
la Glengarry School of Celtic Dance.
