Chamber goes electronic —
with new computer, fax

’ The Terrace and District
Chamber of Commerce offices
have leaped into the 1980’s —
through a grant from the Minis-
try of Tourism, the Chamber
has purchased a $3,000 Mac
Plus computer and a fax ma-
chine.

The grant also provided fund-
ing to buy new uniforms for the
tourism. and travel counsellors

In the organization’s most re-
_cent newsletter, secretary-
manager Bobbie Phillips says
she expects the system to be
connected with the B.C. Tel
INET network and the govern-
ment’s B.C. Business Network
by the end-of this month.

‘‘Members will be able to ac-
cess information from data-
bases, other community pro-
files, bids for supplies and ser-
vices... this should prove to be a
. very valuable service,”’ Phillips
said.
