Present were Alderman E.W. Mabbett, Chairman; Alderman P.F. Ranger, Co-Chairman; Wn. Wingrove, Fire Chief; and T.I. Day, Purchasing Agent. Re: Triple Combination 1050 1.G.P.M. Custom Pumper Fire Truck The following tenders were received for the above-mentioned equipment: Silverline Fire Equipment Ltd. $76,563.00 Hub Fire Engine & Equipment Ltd. $78,670.00 Howard Distributors $80,249.13 - all prices plus 5% 8.8. Tax: - Delivery in each case is 12 months In tenders 1 & 2 10% of the purchase price is to be sent with the order and 20% of the purchase price to be paid when the chassis is completed in approximately 3 months. In tender 3 - $33,403.00 is to be paid when the chassis is completed in approximately 3 months. In all cases the equipment (hoses, etc.- approximately $15,000.00) will be supplied and invoiced as soon as it is available. The majority of this equipment will be invoiced before December 31st, 1974. The following interest will need to be paid to meet: the above conditions: 1) Silverline Fire Equipment Ltd. - $ 3,796.89 2) Hub Fire Engine & Equipment Ltd. - § 3,860.10 3). Howard Distributors - § 4,506.27 RECOMMENDATION: | The Building & Protection Committee recommends that a purchase order be sent to Silverline Fire Equipment Ltd. and that a Work in Progress account be set up to cover the costs incurred in 197+ as this item will be budgeted in 1975 on the strength of Council's decision.
