ever, Coast Tractor have always given us another machine to use while
they were repairing ours. Because of all these problems C. Johnsson and
I have put a great deal of Pressure on Coast Tractor to have an extended
warranty period to protect us with future breakdowns, They were not
prepared to extend the warranty but rather came up with a proposal of a-
swap for a new 1976 machine which would have a full year warranty on it

and becuase of a two year difference they would require $4,200. which I
fcel is a very attractive and economical proposal,

‘During the time we have had this machine we have used it
approximately 1800 hours which means that it has only cost us $2.33 per
hour and when you compare that to $9.00 per hour charges which go into
our Equipment Reserve Fund we would have to agree that this is a good
Proposal. Also, this $4,200. is the amount of cost increase from the
time we purchased the unit compared to present day costs.

. In their proposal they also mention @ bill of $685.42 which
we feel fs part of the transmission problem and I do not think wa will
have any difficulty to have them assume the responsibility of same. .

The following proposal is based on supplying the City with
a New Series JD 410 Loader Bac!zhoe Tractor (Sydrostatie Steering) in
lieu of the City's JD 470 #204548 unit, purchased August 1974 at a
cost of $20,852.00. .

The new JD 410 to be delivered in the month of October 756

end to be equipped with the following conponents changed at Coast
Tractor's expense from the present machine.

The new unit carries the manufacturers full factory warranty,
12 months or 1500 hours whichever occurs first, and is equipped with a
10 micron charge line filter systems
