Cash Calendars on sale again

The 1992 Dr. R.E.M. Lee Hospi-
tal Foundation Cash Calendars are
now available from members of
the Terrace Elks Lodge #425. This
year, the second year the calendars
have been sold, they again feature
the 365 daily draws, with over

$26,000 in prizes and a $5,000
grand prize.

Only 5,500 calendars have been
printed.

A total of 24 black and white
historic photos of life in the North-
west in the early days (and repro-
duced by Photoworks Studio in
Terrace) are a wonderful keepsake
for residents of the region and
friends around the world. The
photos were gathered from

. throughout the region and from the

Provincial Archives. The calendars
were printed by Totem Press.

"The ultimate objective is the CT
scanner," says Bill McRae, calen-
dar coordinator. Last year’s sale of
Cash Calendars raised almost
$70,000 towards the CT scanner,
an essential but expensive piece of
diagnostic equipment that will be
operated at Mills Memorial Hospi-
tal for the benefit of the whole
region when enough money is
raised for the purchase.

The price tag may be as much as
$600,000. The foundation hopes to
have 75 percent of that money
raised by the end of this year.
