We feel this is a significant policy development, one which is in the best interests of not only members directly concerned but of the whole provincial economy. It is only through efforts such as this that the disparities in income obtaining in this country can be wiped out. It is bad enough to have regional disparities but when sub-regional ones abound, the time to do some- thing is at hand. “The Council interprets your union’s policy in this region as a logical and proper course, consistent with the best advice of such bodies as the Economic Council of Canada. “We wish you well in achieving this objective, as well as the other goals now being projected by the union. “Sincerely and fraternally, “LARRY RYAN, “Secretary-Treasurer.”
