MEETING os The next meeting of the Potters Guild of British Columbia will be held on Wednesday, April 18th, at Vandugen Gardens, 37th and Oak Street, Vancouver, starting at 7 p.m. "‘\ Potter's view of Peru" by Linda Deherty. On her recent tour of Peru, Linda visited a copper mine, frit factory, sculpture studios, potteries, etc. She will show slides depicting these sites, as well as other apecial character- istics of the country that influence the pottory. Samples of Peruvian pottery, replicas of Huacos (ancient pots) and weaving will be on display. If you have any South American artifacts, please bring them along to share with the group. CONGRATULATIONS To Francis Fraser who has had two works accepted for inclusion in the 9th Biennale International Ceramique D'Art in Vallauris, France. Her works are entitled - 1. Reflections in Time and Space 2. Birdworld Kiso to Sadashi Inugzuka, a third year ceramics student, at Emily Carr College, who also had two pieces accepted. This biennial, which rune from July lat to mid September, represents the very best of contemporary ceramic art, and selection is considered an honour by established and professional artiste from around the world,
