Be 8 pte Rae gTie se April 4th Mr. R. A. Freeman, City Clerk, The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, 2272 McAllister Avenue, PORT COQUITLAM, British Columbia. Dear Mr. Freeman: Thank you very much for your letter™ of February 28th regarding the Province's plans for new bus services in the City. I note that cur Director of Transit has written you in this matter cn March 7th, indicating that we are seeking the participation of the Regional District. Regarding Gial-a-bus schemes, I am told by our Bureau of Transit that the cost= benefit picture is not attractive, and that we we not looking at this type of service in the Coquitlam area at this particular time. I am pleased to learn of the interest of City Council in seeing a start on the new bus service. I am hopeful that an early agreement on a cost sharing formula can be reached with the Municipal Councils, such that we can see a service Operating in the City before the end of the year. Yours—very truly, ? A Oe eAl vi Barrett, Premier. Cettached)
