Everest Challenge ala mon-
tagne Hudson Bay samedi, le
5 mars, sont un peu fou. En 24
heures, les membres de chaque
équipe se sont relayés pour
monter la montagne 4 pied (au
bas de télésiége), et puis ont
skié vers le bas ... 36 fois. Aie!

Pour AFFNO, |’événement
était un peu plus simple: nous
avons servi de la tire! C’était
notre deuxiéme Franco-fun
Journée de Ski.

Le vice-président de AF-
FNO, Pierre Lecourt et le
directeur général, Patrick
Witwicki étaient au poste au
chalet; et en méme temps,
notre directrice pour Smithers,
Marie-Line Fortin, la conseil-
lére Virginia Hoover, et la
super-bénévole Donna Parent
étaient stationnées au pied du
télésiége avec la tire.

montagne Hudson le 5 mars. le Vice-Président Pierre Lecourt était en charge de

servir la tire!

A day filled with some skiing ... and maple taffy!

think that those
people who

participated in the Mount Ever-
est Challenge on Hudson Bay
Mountain back on Saturday,
March 5, must be a little bit
crazy. In 24 hours, the mem-
bers of each team had to hike
up the mountain (starting at
the bottom of the chairlift),
and then ski back down ... 36
times. Ouch!

For AFFNO, the event was
a bit simpler: we were serving
up maple toffee on the snow! It
just happened to be our second
annual Franco-fun Ski Day.

AFFNO Vice President
Pierre Lecourt, and Execu-
tive Director Patrick Witwicki
were Set up at the lodge; and
at the same time, our Smithers

Director Marie-line Fortin and
Counsellor Virginia Hoover,
alongside super-volunteer
Donna Parent were stationed
at the bottom of the chairlift,
especially armed with samples
for the Mount Everest partici-
pants!

A little “sugar boost’ to help
them get up the mountain!

Maple toffee was by dona-
tion, and we managed to raise
close to $210.
