REVELSTOKE’S NEW HOME |
IMPROVEMENT CENTRE IN KELOWNA

Revelstoke Companies Ltd., the largest building
supply company in Western. Canada, officially
opened its new $3,800,000 store September 29th, in
Kelowna.

On the same day the Company’s newly renovated
stores in Penticton and Rutland were also officially
opened.

The three stores were formerly owned by Eccott
Builders Supply until bought out recently by the
Revelstoke operation, which is Canadian owned with
head offices in Calgary, Alberta,

Kelowna and Rutland stores and Local 1-405 IWA,

sawmill in Radium, B.C.

While the Company's most significant business
consists of 108 stores located throughout Western
Canada, it also owns four sawmills and 20 concrete
plants in Western Canada.

The Company began as a sawmill operation in
Revelstoke, B.C. in 1903 and opened its first retail
lumber yard on the prairies in 1906 to provide an
outlet for its mill products. In fact, many prairie
homesteads were built with Revelstoke: lumber and
hardware. |

As the west has grown and progressed over the
years, Revelstoke has expanded its operations into a

business with annual sales of over $150 million by.
