Le Bal a l’Huile

Bal a |’Huile are remarkable singers who are
faithful to the vocal and musical stylings and
traditions of Québec, yet bring their own
harmonic style and twist to that repertoire.
Their name, in English “ball of oil,” is

a harkening-back to the days of big
kitchen parties, when musicians and
vocalists gathered together to play
and sing at oil lamp parties. Singing
both a cappella and accompanied
by acoustic instruments are Patrick
Goulet (vocals), Jean Coupal and Isaél
McIntyre (vocals, podo-rhythm), Normand
Breton (accordions), Olivier Brousseau

and Lacroix Paulyn (guitar, vocals) and Guy :
