THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C 0 U -E MEMORANDUM ) C | SEP 6 1977 Mayor and Council August 30th, 1977 L.D. Pollock, City Administrator Re: Crime Prevention Programme Council may recall that the approved Budget for the Justice Building operation for 1977 included a $10,000 pro- vision for crime prevention. When the Budget was discussed by the Mayors of the respective municipalities it was decided that the R.C.M.P. should submit a programme for Council's consideration prior to any expenditure of the $10,000 allocation. The R.C.M.P. have now submitted the attached programme which originally required a Budget of $7,240, however, you will note that they have suggested some reductions due to the fact that they have not enough man-power to complete the programme before the end of the year and the amount that they are requesting at this time is therefore $4,955. This amount would be shared with Coquitlam on the Justice Building operation formular (our share is approximately 338%). Details of the revised programme are contained in the memo from Constable Hauka dated August 26th, 1977. For Council's information I have also attached the original memo dated March 9th, 1977 which provided a bit more detail on each aspect of the programme, i i i f ‘ i t 4 1 i i i i ! i 1 } t i i } i ! { ! i 3 i The R.C.M.P., therefore, request approval to proceed with the programme from the 1977 Budget. ee — L.D.
