MINUTES
A meeting of the E.P.C. vvas held at City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam,
Wednesday, October 27, 1993 at 9:30 a.m. in Committee Room ¹2.
In attendance were:

Councillor J.J. Ketyluk, Chairman
B.R. Kirk, City Administrator
J.E. Yip, P. Eng., Deputy City Engineer
F. Cheung, P. Eng., Project Engineer
The minutes for the October 13, 1993 Committee meeting were considered, read and adopted.

IrEM I:

LEIGH SQAURE RENOVATIONS

The report on Leigh Square was reviewed and explained by the Director of Building Permits and
Inspections. The various cost items for each option were reviewed. Following discussion it was
noted that there does not appear to be any financially viable means to reconstruct the building.
The City Administrator proposed that a further option may be to lease a City owned property to
Tri City Famiiy Place, It was noted that the City owns 2466 Shaughnessy and it is presently
vacant. It was requested that this option be investigated and a report prepared for the next F..P.C.

OPERATIONAL BUDGETS - RBCYCLINGttGARBAGB
The Project Engineer reviewed the 1994 Budget material on recycling and garbage. It was noted
that this format will be used in the 1994 Buuget presentation. This material was received for
information. CounciBor Keryluk asked how many composters are unsold. Please find this
information aud provide a note to him. He also suggested that information on the end uses of
recycled materials be made available to the public. The engineer to enquire about availability of
information.

a) Hvde Creek Fish Habitat Fxthancement Proiect

Application to the Habitat Conservation Fund will be made prior to the deadline of November 1,
1993. Approval to proceed was authorized by the Committee with a request to bring forward
infonnanon at the next E.P.C. meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 11:00 am.
