The Councl! directed that a caveat be tI} ied Immediately
In the Land Registry Office in order to preserve the rights of the
Corporation until its legal position has been determined.

The Counct!I also directed the Municipal Solicitor to submit
@ report ta it "In Camera" on the questions of suing tne Federal
Government (for the purpose Indicated earlier), fiting a Lis Pendens
In the Land Registry Office to stop any transfer of the land by the
Federal Government to the Provincial Government, and preparing an
injunction agalnst the Federa! Government and the Federal Minister
of Veterans Affairs enjoining them from completing any sale of the
land to the Provinctal Government.

Mayor Constable, on December 4th, advised the appropriate
representatives of the Provincial Government about the action taken
by Council}.

In addition, | was directed by Counct! to seek the support
of other Councils which are members of the Greater Vancouver Reglona |
District In connection with the subject matter and to ask that you
so advise both the Federal Minister of Veterens Affalrs and the
Provinclal Government of your support.

matter.
