Re: Height of Fences

Reference is made to your memo of May 5, 1975 and Council's instruction
of June 2, 1975.

The subject matter was discussed by the Planning and Zoning Committee at
its July 10, 1975 meeting. The Committee is of the opinion that an eight-
foot fence can provide better privacy than a six-foot fence.

The Committee therefore recommends that the Present regulation allowing
up to eight feet in height for fences to the rear of the required front

yard be retained,
