That the 1976/1977 Ice Schedule as recommended by the Leisure
Activities Committee and attached to its report dated July 6th, 1976, be
approved.

Carried.

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Traboulay
expressed concern over the very early hours assigned to Minor Hockey and
indicated that he had been under the impression that the new ice facilities
would alleviate this situation and he was advised by Alderman Ranger
that these were the times requested by the organization due to the

availability of coaches, etc.

to an attached letter from the Olympus Sports Club in which a per capita Olympus Sports
grant for thelr members is requested and advising that Mr. Dave Thompson Chub

would be in attendance at the meeting to answer any questions the Council

may have, Alderman Ranger, in speaking to the report, advised that the

Committee had dealt briefly with the matter, however, as funds were

requested felt that it should be presented for the consideration of the

full Council. A brief discussion ensued during which it became apparent

that the subject was one that was difficult to discuss in public at this

time.

to the PoCo Trail By-law revisions banning vehicular traffic from the

Trail and recommending that horses be permitted on the Trail except

through the Nature Reserve. The City Clerk advised that the "Traffic

Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117, Amendment By-iaw, 1976, No. 1455"

which enacts the revision, was available for first three readings at
