1. Welcome to Port Coquitlam Sign

The City presently has a contract with Neon Products Ltd. for the Welcome

Sign located on the Lougheed Ilighway. The sign was constructed in 1969 and

the renewal contract covers continued maintenance and service of the sign
for a period of 5 years from September, 1974. The original sign rental was
$77.00 per month and the renewal will be for 70% of that figure or $53.90
per month. A draft by-law is attached and if Council wish to consider

extending the agreement the by-law can be given three readings.

Assessors' Convention

We have been notified that the Annual Convention of the B.C. Association

of Assessors will be held in Vernon September llth to 13th. We have been

represented at this conference by our Assessors in past years. I would

recommend that Mr. Wayne Severn be authorized to attend the conference

and that his expenses be paid.
