Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, the City Clerk advised that Alderman Keryluk had requested an amendment to the wording of his comments on Page 18 of the January 19th, 1975 Council meeting minutes from the present wording of "At this time, Alderman Keryluk expressed his wish to be removed as the representative to the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board of Directors," to read instead "In view of the apparent lack of confidence in his representation in the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board, Alderman Keryluk expressed his wish to be removed as the representative to the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board of Directors," and to this members of Council generally agreed, UNFINISHED BUSINESS: sNu-West Develop~ From the City Clerk, January 22nd, 1976, advising that a request “Ment Corp.-request “for burning #permit— 3535 ‘Cedar Drive AigR ata? + eect, = EEN PN Stn cate from Nu-West Development Corp. Ltd. to burn on the site the remaining material of a house intended to be demolished on its property at 3535 Cedar Drive, had been deferred from the previous Council meeting for consideration at this time. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the request of Nu-West Development Corp Ltd. for a permit to burn on the site the remaining material of a house intended to be demolished on its property at 3535 Cedar Drive, be denied. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Thompson mentioned a situation had arisen during previous burning operations conducted by the firm's sub-contractor, Willits Bulldozing Ltd., where more than ordinary discomfort was sustained by an adjacent resident in that smoke and fly-ash virtually destroyed his lawn furniture valued at approximately $600.00, soiled the exterior of his house, and left a scum residue on the water in his swimming pool, and although compensation was promised by the sub-contractor, this has not as yet been resolved.
