A copy of the said communication recetved fron Superintendent Naaykens is attached hereto marked Appendix i. Counci] is no doubt aware that in the Interim between the construction of the building in 1971 and this date, considerable additional electronic communications enuigrent has been installed in the building. In Mid-August of 1Sdi, considerabie difficulties were experienced due to the high gener3tion of heat. in the comavnications centre which caused remedial measures to be implemented, Then, in light of the advice of September Ist, ft became apparent to your Munictpal laneger that the advice of expert consultants should be retained fer the purpose of obtaining a cost estimate of the Work that would be Necessary to accommodate the equipment due to arrive un February Ist.
