sibilities of a clover and gras mixture
for ensiluge purpases.

-In summarszing the results to date.
it hi is been found that in considering

per acre, clover ensilage hos the advan
tage so far ag profit per rere is con-
cerned over the other: ensilage crops
invaly et in the experiment. ‘These are

When properly made clover ensilage
is an excellent feed for dairy cattle.
The greater the per centnge of clover
present. in the mixture the higher the
feeding value and the easler it-is to
make silage of quality. It is not ad-
visuble to seed down to 2 purely clover
mixture as such a crop would undoubt
edly lodge, Tt is therefore necessnry
that some of the stundard grasses be
added, A good mixture is composed
of red clover 9, alsike 8. white Dutch
clover 2, Hoalinn. rye grass 2, nnd or-
ehard er; nse 2 2 pounds per acre,
