i | | | THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM COUNC APR 12 1976 MAYOR AND COUNCIL DATE: APRIL 8, 1976 PLANNING OFFICER Public Information Meeting on Proposed Cluster Development at York Street above meeting was held at the Viscount School on April 6, 1976 at 7:30 p.m. meeting was chaired by Alderman Traboulay. About 20 residents attended meeting. Alderman Keryluk was among the audience. Also in attendance were R.A. Freeman, City Clerk, Mr. Lee, Planning Officer, Mr. R. Ingram of School Board the architect for the project. Chairman opened the meeting by stressing that the proposed development of 24 cluster housing units at York Street had not been given any approval by the City. He stated that the purpose of the meeting was to brief the affected residents of the nature of the proposed development and to monitor their reaction. The architect for the project was called on to describe the proposed project. The Planning Officer then gave a brief description on zoning, traffic circulation and servicing requirements. The question of school accommodation was answered by Mr. Ingram who assured that the two scnools serving the general area, namely Viscount and James Park, had adequate capacity for students generated by the proposed development. Questions and concerns expressed from the floor mainly centred on fencing and parking. Fencing along common property lines was desired by owners of adjoining -properties, and on site parking was felt to be inadequate. Other questions include: - will Oxford Street be improved ยป what effect the development will have on property taxes. In conclusion, the meeting was quiet and orderly, and no objection was expressed against the proposed development. fhe meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m. . oi
