THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM vwmue COUNCIL 4A By-law to provide for Payment of an indemnity to the Mayor MAR 27 1972 @ Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam for the year 1972. fdlderman of Th WHEREAS under and by virtue of Section 200 of the "Municipal Act", being Chapter 255 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1960, and Amendments thereto, the Council may by by-law provide for paying out of the annual revenue an indeanity to the Mayor and Aldermen cf The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlan, and may provide that a portion of the said indenanity to be paid to the Mayor and Aldermen shall be paid as an allowance for expenses tacident . al to the discharge of the duties of their respective offices: : NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of , Pert Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: a. There shall be paid to the Mayor of The Corporation of the City of Port Coqiitlam in the year 1972 an indemnity of (87,500.00) Doll Seven Thousand Five Hundred ars per annum of which said indeanity the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred ($2,500.00) Dollars shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties ef his office. 2. There shall be paid to each of the Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam in the year 1972 an indemnity of Three Thousand ($2,050.00) Dollars per annun of which said indemnity the sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00? Deltars shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. j 3. the Indemnity provided for in Sectlons One (1) and Two (2) hereof shall be paid meathly by the City Treasurer to the person or persons entitled to vecelive eane without order or resolution of the Council, aave and except as hereinafter provided. 4. 3 Should any Alderman be absent from four (4) consecutive regular Council meetings or more, the indemnity that would be due were he not so abcent shall not be paid to him except by unanimous vote of the remainder of the rambers of Council, ‘ 5.
