COUNCIL JUL 28 1980 THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor anc Council July 24, 1980 FROM: L.D. Pollock, City Administrator Re: District 43, Community Map Council members are familiar with the Community Map of School District 43 which was originally printed by Alley Estates and subsequently updated by the Chamber of Commerce. We have used this map quite extensively and it is in great demand for use by newcomers to the City or anybody wanting information on the aren, The Chamber of Commerce informed us that they are running low on the supply of these maps and wish to update the map for production in 1981. The cost of the last revision and printing was about $10,000 and they anticipate that the cost will be up slightly this time. They are looking for o contribution from each of the municipalities in che following amounts: Coquitlam, $2,000; Port Coquitlam, $1,000; Port Moody, $500. They anticipate that this will represent about one-third of the cost and the Chamber will raise the balance. The Chamber are looking for a commitment at thie time so that they can go ahead with planning of this revision. Although the costs won't be dncurred until 1981, they would like some assurance that Council will budget the sum of $1,000 for 1981 to cover our share of the costs. Pas -_ . an Po oT er mee L.D.
