On mecting nights (now, the 4th Wednesday of the
month) the brary will be open from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m

During the day: Each Wednesday afternoon | to 5
p.m., and each [pst and third Friday of the month
from 11:30 a.m. te 2 p.m.

Borrowers are reminded that materials kept more
than one month are overdue, and should be returned
at the first opportunity. Also, Zalin, Electric Kiln
Ceramics (Cat. No. 210) was borrowed without being
properly checked out. Would whoever has it please
return ft, as it is long overdue.

Membership fees were due on Jarmuary 1, 1988. They
are $20.00 for individual members or $30.00 for
groups, When doing so remember to include the
application form with your cheque or money order to:

NEWSLETTER

The Newsletter committee is in search of new ideas
and would lee to hear from people who have creative
suggestions to help make our newsletter more inter-

esting.

We would like to publish an article each month
profiling a community and it's involvement tn ceram-
ics. This would help bridge the gap between the many
smaller communities throughout B.C. and those liv-
ing in Vancouver where commmmmication is sometimes
easier and certainly more accessible. Please help us
make this a success by wriling to us regarding your
community, it's participation in supporting potlers,
and any other tnformation you have to offer, Please
include such things as: size of community; location:
membership numbers of club or guild; level of partiet-
pation of members, .c. sales, shows, cic.; types of
work being produced; workshops being offered or
needed: meetings/activities, etc.

We are also considering doing articles on individual
potters, so feel free to send along information and
photographs tn this regard as well, It would be
appreciated if you could pass this request along to
your club or guild, as we are looking forward to getting
this project in step as soon as possibile.

* ... to Walter Dexter (potter), Lutz Haufschild
(glass artist) and Carole Sabiston (fabric
artist), who all were included in Restless
Legacies, an exhibition held in Calgary during
the Winter Olympics. Out of 180 submissions,
only a total of 21 crafispeople were selected.
