. MEMORANDUM THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY GF PORT CGQUITLAM TOs B. Kirk, ; November 3, 1982 City Administrator. FROM: F.E. Peters., P. Eng, | G 0 U N C | [ City Engineer SUBJECT: Parking Restriction in front of Kilmer schoo NOV 8 1982 Public Works Committee, November 2nd, 1982. RECOMMENDATION: That "No Parking at any Time" signs be installed on the south side of Pooley Avenue from Knappen Street to. Taylor Street. . BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: Residents of the area have complained that during periods when parents pick up children from the school, cars are parked on both sides of Pooley Avenue making it not only difficult to get through but also creating visibility problems for children crossing the road. As a general rule, we have pursued a policy of restricting parking alongside unfenced schools so that there is mo danger of children running into the. street from between parked cars and the Committee recommends that this be dane on Pooley as well.
