Development Variance Application File No. 71/89 RECOMMENDATION : THAT the Clerk's Office be directed to inform surrounding property owners of this application and to place a resolution on a subsequent agenda of City Council to issue development variance permit to Lot 3 of Section 6 in Twp 40 NWLD Plan 11944 relaxing the rear yard setback from 7.5 metres (24.6 feet) to 6 metres (20 feet) and the side yard setback from 7.5 metres (24.6 feet to 5.5 metres (18 feet). COMMENTS : This application is to site the proposed building the same as the neighbouring buildings previously constructed by Owen Jackson. This is the developers first project in Port Coquitlam. The variance is supported as a similar relaxation has been given to che three projects to the south of this property. The development proposal is viewed as being architecturally superior.
