(3) A Chief Fire Official who receives a request for emergency
resources from another Party shall determine the extent of
and duration for which the emergency resources are available
_and thereupon such emergency resources, if any are available,
shall be dispatched: and utilized to control the disaster; but
nothing In this Agreement shall be construed to require a
Chief Fire Official to dispatch emergency resources that he

does not consider are available.

The Senior Officer in-charge Of any zone or regional aid shall
remain in-charge and direct those resources in Co-Operation with

the requesting Chief Fire Official.

As soon as the disaster has been brought under contro} any
regional aid shall) be released first, thereafter any zone aid

shall be released before any local resources are released,

3. For the purpases of this Agreement the region consists OF component

municipalities divided Into four zones as follows:

Zone 1: District of West Vancouver
District of North Vancouver
City of North Vancouver

District of Burnaby
City of New Westminster
city of Port Moody

City of Port Coquitlam
District of Coquitlam

District of Surrey
District of Richmond
District of Delta
City of White Rock

Zone 4: City cf Vancouver

4, The Parties agree to consult on a regular basis through their Chief
Fire Officials on the best ways to achieve the optimum deployment oF emergency

resources to control disasters within the region,

5. When a-Party provides emergency resources to another Party:

a) the Party providing emergency resources shall, within sixty
days after so doing, render to. the Party that requested emergency

resources a correct account of the men and equipment provided and
the cost of the service in accordance with the table of costs set
out. in Schedule A hereto;

b) the Party that requested emergency resources shal] pay the account

within thirty days after receiving it.

6. Any Party may terminate its rights and responsibilities under «his

Agreement by giving to the other Parties thirty days notice in writing of

its

intention so to do.
