The steps outlined below required a considerable amount of time and dedication by many people, and we are thankful for that. 1. Some of the papers presented at the conference included a set of recommendations. 2. During the conference, the Panelists wrote recommendations gleaned from comments and suggestions mace by the presenters and the speakers from the floor. 3. At the end of the conference, participants submitted their own written recommendations. 4. This vast array of recommendations was assembled, and then screened for cuplica- tions and redundancies. ». All recommendations directed to the Save Georgia Strait Alliance were separated out, to be considered during SGSA planning of its strategy and organizational development. 6. A committee compiled, reworked, arranged, and edited the remainder of this prodi- | gious assortment into a set of recommendations which, we hope, remains true to the spirit of the conference and useful to the target audience. | There are inherent weaknesses to this approach, but given the nature of the conference and the time constraints, the work represented here is the best current thinking of many dedicated people. We hope that these recommendations will be seriously considered and acted upon. —
