K. Webber, representing the Prime Architects, cariberg, Jackson Partners, was in attendance to review the recreational facilities: stated in the By-law that are proposed to be constructed. Mr. . Webber spoke. to the meeting and illustrated renderings showing the proposed recreational facilities. Alderman Laking advised that two public meetings will be held prior to the referen- dum in June, and that a number of interested citizens have offered to help with pro-_ motion of the By-law. Alderman Laking also. advised that two Friday night TV pro- grammes are scheduled to assist in informing the public on the proposed. recreationa! 7 facilities and that Literecure would also be distributed through the schools. Ald- eran Neyer referred to an invitation Alderman Laking had received from. the NDP’ Party to make a presentation of the By-law at a meeting of that group, and commen- ted that he, as Co-Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Comittee, had heen prohibit- ed from attending Mr. L. Dubois, a spokesman for the NDP.
