That the City" s Parks & Recreation and Land Sale Committees investigate a
the inclusion or otherwise of E City-owned land and the basis for determination
of value and agreement to the land exchange. Catried.

Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution.
Moved by Alderman Ranger:

Seconded by Alderman Mabbett:

That the appropriate G.V.R.D. Department undertake to guarantee that.
construction and/or occupancy of the family units will not be undertaken until
definite contracts are awarded for the school construction necessary to serve _

the development, Carried.

Alderman Ranger inquire ed whether it would be possible ‘for the G. v. RD.

to provide the City with a model of the project, and Mr. Casson stated he
would try. Alderman Traboulay, in referring to the City Administrator’ s ee
port, commented that the G.V. R, N, appeared to be quite interested in duilding
on 33° lots, and stated his hope that this prospect would not be lost, as he
would like te See conventional homes built on smaller lots.

from the City Engineer, June 14th, 1974, concerning equipment and vehicle

That as recommended in a memorandum from the City Engineer, June 1th,”
i274, the tender for supply of a JD410 Trac tor-Loade r~Backhoe. submitted by

Coast Tractor at the quoted price of $14,544.60, all taxes included, be

accepted. Carried.

The City Engineer referred to his memorandum dated June ith, 1974,

concerniug the purchase of various : vehicles and advised that the tender

a) all the vehicles being purchased from that firm even 1 though they were.
listed separately;

acceptance of the package by June 14th, 1974,

The City Engineer then advised that Metro Motors has now withdrawn its

bid since the date for acceptance could not be met, and he recommended, as

an alternative, that the supply of vehicles be awarded to the low tender ta.
