It was this renewed awareness of the preciousness or very essence and uniqueness of a life that caused me to auestion that which may cause or affect such illnesses or defects in humanity. A short time after my son was dia hospital that nitrates and nitrites us thought to be carcinogenic Throughout the next few years I became aware of some other facts which at first I thought to be coincidental.With the passing of time these facts were brought to my attention with increasing frequency,causing me to wonder if perhaps rather then being coincidental,there were some common Cenominator whic would explain what seemed to be occurring in our area, In order to protect the privacy of the families concerned I will not name them although any that I contacted gave me permission to do so. I am sure that these facts can be verified by checking public health records,should Council members care to do so. Following is a list of some of the information brought to my attention. - Shortly after my son was diagnosed I learned that there had been at least two and possibly three other children with leukemia attending the same school as my son.As far as I have been able to ascertain they had attended the school in the three years previous to my son's enrollment.
