Also ln attendance was Mike McKone and a delegation from Metro Motors and K. Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director. %!I IPI Item No. 1 Lougheed Median Mike McKone met with the Parks and Recreation Committee to discuss the question of trees blocking visibility to the various businesses along Lrugheed Highway between Westwood Street and Hastings Street. The attached letter from Mr. McKone was reviewed as was the letter from the Golden Lotus ICOSI Restaurant. Mr. McKone basically restated what he had written in his letter. The committee indicated that they did not support removing sll the trees, but would consider removing some trees. Recommendation Ik That Mr. McKone's reports were noted and that a report would be sent to Council requesting removal of some of the trees. The Lougheed Highway heading east from Shaughnessy is virtually identical in dimensians, age, and cans r uctian yet the median only has law lying shrubbery.
