letter be written to the Minister regarding expanding the boundaries of
the GVRD to include the bordering municipalities which will be using the
facilities in Port Coquitlam.

That a letter be written to the Honourable W.N. Vander Zalm expressing

the City of Port Coquitlan's concerns regarding the increased costs
related to Light Rapid Transit and that a study be carried out to expand
the bouidary of the Greater Vancouver Regional District to include the
adjacent Regional District arcas.
Carried.
Aldermen Muldoon and Gates voted against the resolution.

Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution

Alderman Gates expressed his opposition regarding enlarging the Greater

Vancouver Regional District.
