Comments: At the regular Council meeting the subject of frame apartment buildings was referred to the Planning and Zoning Committee. The fire danger involved particularily in frame apartment buildings was. discussed by the Committee. The Committee agreed that to have all apratment buildings which exceed two storeys constructed of concrete materials would be « desirable situation. The Committee then discussed the type of soils required to support this type of construction. Many other avenues of discussion were followed; City's high water table, economics of this type of building as well as economics Mr. Buchan, City Assessor is to report back to the Planning and Zoning Committee meeting May 3rd, 1972 on the comparable estimated cost of construction on a three storey frame apartment, masonry and concrete re- inforced structure.
