SUBJECT: Senior Citizens Program Fees

RECOMMENDATION:

1. That Seniors be permitted to participate in the.

, regular "Adult Programs" at half the advertised pro-
gram fee rather than the $1.00 charge which is presently
in effect. ,

2. That this be effective January lst, 1982.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

Council requested that we further investigate the 50% charge
in the Adult Program area. The Recreation Director met with
the Senior Citizen's Advisory Board and they are in full
agreement with the proposed recommendation. It should be
noted that this will only affect a small number of seniors,
approximately ten in the Pottery Pregram. Should this
policy prove to be a hardship to any senior, the Depart-
ment would then look at reducing the fee,
