Res Summer Use Of Mabbett Room

Last year, during the months of July and August, the Mabbett
Room was closed to programs and rental. In doing this the
Parks Department was able to move one maintenance staff person
from the Port Rec Centre to the Parks Department. There is
not a great demand for rental during the months of July and
August and. we feel that one facility, Hyde Creek Gymnasium,

would be adequate.

The Parks and Recreation Committee would like to make the

following recommendation for Council’s consideraticn:

1. That the Mabbett Room be closed for programs and/or
rentals during the months of July and August.
