THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM Eaocatoae i MEMORANDUM Mayor and Aldermen May 20th, 1981 R.A. Freeman Acting-City Administrator Services of Planning Consultant. Following recommendations made by our former City Administrator and in line with instructions issued by Council; the Eikos Group Inc. have been retained to provide Planning Consultant services to the City. This firm will, on a contract basis, have a professional planner available in the City Hall for at least two days a week until we are able to re~staff our own Planning Department. In addition to this two days a week, of course, the Council and Planning and Zoning Committee can expect to have the services of a professional planner at all the various meetings. Although this is not an ideal solution to the City's present problems it is a definite improvement over what we have now and will probably serve us until the Planning Department can be re-established. The charges to the City for this service will be made by Eikos on an hourly basis at the same rates currently charged their other clients, including the City of Port Moody and the City of White Rock. Council's formal endorsement of this arrangement would be appreciated. Q Ccctnce > R.A. Freeman, Acting-City Administrator.
