Conferences and Seminars

. I have had a request from the Engineer to have Council authorizea
the attendance of our Parks Superintendent, Bram Hoogendorn to attend
the Western Canada Turfgrass Association Conference which will be held
in Victoria on March 2 ~ 5, 1980. The Parks Superintendent has generally
attended this Association Conference annually representing the City.
The registration fee is $45.00 and the normal per deim expenses would

apply.

I would recommend that Bram be permitted to attend this
conference as requested.

We have been notified by the District of Burnaby that a three
day seminar has been organized on the new B.C. Plumbing Code. This
seminar will take place during February and the cost is minimal only
$12.00 per person and there would be no living accomodations Hewever,

it would require time off as the seminars would be held during the
week, .

IT would Like Council to approve the attendance of our Chief
Building Inspector and the Plumbing Inspector Mr. ‘Jack Donnelly.
