Several items were discussed including the jeft turn from Pitt River Road north on Shaughnessy, the re- location of bus stops and bus shelter at Lions Way and Shaughnessy, _ the impending changes to the Lougheed - Shaughnessy intersection and the closing of the west end of Coquitlam Avenue, and the extent of the bus stops at the McAllister ~ Shaughnessy inter- section. Hydro Transit stated that similar bus stop locations on the near side of lighted intersections while usually not desirable are feasible and can work satisfactorily if required for special circumstances. ITEM IT Re: Shaughnessy Underpass It is apparent that proper maintenance work is required for the road surface at the Shaughnessy Underpass. A proposal has been developed to plane and remove a 2-inch depth of asphaltic concrete for a length of approximately 280 lineal feet and repave with a 2-inch lift of asphaltic comrete for a distance of approxi- mately 700 lineal feet. It is intended that this work would be Carried out during off~peak traffic hours at night and it would mean that the underpass would be closed to traffic for one evening, faeces
