A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy
Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, March 8th, 1993, at 7:30 p.m.

Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H.
Talbot, M.R. Wright, and M.A. Thompson were in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City
Treasurer/Deputy Administrator J. Maitland, Acting Director of Parks & Recreation L. Wheeler,
Fire Chief J. Baillie, Director of Planning C. Felip, and Project Engineer Michael Davies.

CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES:

That the minutes of the Regular Council meeting held on March Ist, 1993 be taken as read
and adopted.

Carried.

DELEGATIONS:

Ms. Lynne Brown of Port Coquitlam Area Women’s Centre presented a plaque to C:.uncil
in recognition of the assistance The City of Port Cocuitlam has provided over the years.

Mr. Vic Davies of Vic Davies Architects gave Council a presentation regarding the
renovation and expansion of Hyde Creek Centre.

That Council adopt the concept plan for the renovation and expansion of Hyde Creek
Centre as presented by Vic Davies.

And that the Parks and Recreation Department to initiate the process of developing detail
design drawings in preparation for tendering this project.

Mr. Paul Grant of Grant & Sinclair Architects Ltd. regarding Works Yard/Parks and
Recreation Complex & Firehall.

That concept approval be given to proposed Fire Hall/Works Yard to be development at
Broadway and Cameron as presented by Grant & Sinclair Architects to Municipal Council on
February 25th, 1993.

And that working drawings be done in preparation .ur tendering the project.
