Beyond good cheer, for the past two years Bill Sturby has not only donated his time to being Santa but he also donated 50 cents from every photo taken with a child to the Dr. R.E.M. Lee Foundation CT scanner fund. In 1990, he donated $140 from the sale of the photographs and added an additional $50 of his own. In 1991, he raised $94 from the sale of the photos and threw in an extra $6 to round it off to an even $100. Sturby says he loves Christmas and the spirit it evokes.
