IIII G.VM D COMPOSTING PROGRAM PIIOPOSAL Deputy Engineer outlined the status of the District's R.F.P. (Request for Proposal) for Regional composting. It was noted that the District has not received any approvals from the R.D. Board to implement any composting program. The Committee requested background xmation about City composting options. Recommended that City Engineer attend a future meeting to outline previous options considered. . BEVERAGE CONTAINERS - PROPOSAL5 Brewery, Winery dt Distillery Workers Local 300 B.C. Government Employee's Union etters were reviewed and following discussion it was recommended that both be received formation. Resuonses to be forwarded to both Unions. It was noted that this issue is .tly being reviewed by the Provincial Cabinet. The Committee requested that responses be arded to both Unions thanking them for their letters. "'.. Following discussion it was reconunended that a response be forwarded to Mr. Wong thanking him for the information and noting that the Provincial Cabinet is currently reviewing thei- proposal, and the City will be awaiting the Provincial Government's decision. Information was received and it was recommended that a verbal report on the status of this issue be presented to Council "In Committee".
