Re: Exemption from School Taxes - Old Ape Pensioners FEB 14 i972

With reference to the resolution that was proposed at the last Regular Council

Meeting might we suggest that an appropriate wording would be as follows:

“That the City Clerk be instructed to write to the Minister of Finance of the

Province of British Columbia and request that any person over the age of 65 years who

ts the owner of property in a municipality and whose income does not exceed the amount

of the Old Age Pension and Supplementary Old Age Assistance payment be exempted com-
pletely from all School taxes;

AND THAT any loss of tax be paid by the Province to the Municipality or School
